One thing I will certainly miss during the years after my children are older than say 7, and until I have grandchildren, are these little programs they do in their preschool and early elementary years. Not the kind where the whole school comes to hear you sing, but the Mother's Day programs where the class does something special just for you.
It was especially wonderful this year because Aunt Denise and Nona and Papa (ok, so he's not a girl, but he was still admitted) were able to come as well.
We had to wait out in the hall until they were all ready.
Henry has been practicing these songs for quite a while. He came home from preschool humming or singing, especially his favorite song which was "If I had a Little Box to Put My Mommy In." Such a cute little song.
He is a very energetic singer, always with a huge smile.
Henry made some good friends in class this year. He attended several birthday parties and play dates. Picture in your mind that kid in your class that just got along with everyone. Not a trouble maker, but not perfect. Bright, engaging, loved the teacher. Loved by the teacher, not as a pet with special treatment that you hated, but loved just because she never had to ask him twice to do anything. That kid, the one you probably had a crush on or wanted to play with- that's Henry.
